Campaigns

In June 2024, Adwi proudly announced the launch of its long-planned Children’s Rights Campaign, a vital step in safeguarding the rights of children throughout the year. This campaign was sparked by the recent crisis in Khanke camps, where the doors to education were abruptly closed for hundreds of children. Combined with Adwi’s ongoing commitment to empowering young people through long-term projects, the need for action became undeniable.

What began in 2004 as a modest awareness campaign in remote villages has grown into a comprehensive, regionally sensitive initiative. Today, our work not only addresses FGM directly but also supports women in healing from its physical and psychological consequences. Over time, it has expanded into a broader platform, tackling women’s health, emotional trauma, legal rights, domestic violence, sexuality, and other pressing social issues.

Recognizing the importance of collaboration, the team engaged with the Agriculture Department, ultimately facilitating a large assembly of farmers. This event marked the first significant step toward tackling the issue. The Agriculture Department expressed its commitment to supporting the project by offering ADWI access to its facilities and resources for the duration of the project.

Focused on creating safer communities, this initiative promotes awareness about domestic violence and fosters harmony through education and advocacy. Funded by wadi German organization.

MALIAWA is an innovative hub, a home that lives harmoniously with the environment. This home is managed by ADWI and is dedicated to introducing sustainable approaches to tackle environmental challenges in Kifri and Halabja. The center serves as a model for environmentally friendly living, showcasing practical solutions that promote sustainability, ecological harmony, and community empowerment.
